καὶ αὖθίς φησι μεθʼ ἕτερα εἰ δὲ καὶ τὸν κύριον “φαντασιωδῶς τὰ τοιαῦτα πεποιηκέναι φήσουσιν, “ἐπὶ τὰ προφητικὰ ἀνάγοντες αὐτοὺς ἐξ αὐτῶν ἐπι- “δείξομεν πάντα οὕτως περὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ προειρῆσθαι “καὶ γεγονέναι βεβαίως, καὶ αὐτὸν μόνον εἶναι τὸν “υἱὸν τοῦ θεοῦ. διὸ καὶ ἐν τῷ ἐκείνου ὀνόματι οἶ “ἀληθῶς αὐτοῦ μαθηταὶ, παρʼ αὐτοῦ λαβόντες τὴν “χάριν, ἐπιτελοῦσιν ἐπʼ εὐεργεσίᾳ τῇ τῶν λοιπῶν “ἀνθρώπων, καθὼς εἷς ἕκαστος τὴν δωρεὰν εἴληφε παρʼ αὐτοῦ.

And again, after other things, he says: “But if they say that the Lord too did such things only in appearance, we shall lead them back to the prophetic writings and show from them that everything concerning him was both foretold in this way and surely took place, and that he alone is the Son of God. Therefore also in his name his true disciples, having received the grace from him, perform works for the benefit of the rest of mankind, as each one has received the gift from him.
