Ἐὰν δὲ οἱ ἀπὸ τοῦ γένους τοῦ ὑμετέρου πιστεύειν λέγοντες ἐπὶ τοῦτον τὸν Χριστόν, ὦ Τρύφων, ἔλεγον, ἐκ παντὸς κατὰ τὸν διὰ Μωσέως διαταχθέντα νόμον ἀναγκάζουσι ζῆν τοὺς ἐξ ἐθνῶν πιστεύοντας ἐπὶ τοῦτον τὸν Χριστὸν ἢ μὴ κοινωνεῖν αὐτοῖς τῆς τοιαύτης συνδιαγωγῆς αἱροῦνται, ὁμοίως καὶ τούτους οὐκ ἀποδέχομαι.

English · Claude translation

“But if those of your race who say they believe in this Christ, Trypho,” I said, “compel in every way those of the nations who believe in this Christ to live according to the law ordained through Moses, or choose not to share such a common life with them, I likewise do not accept these.
