Dialogue with Trypho 47.2

And he said, “Why then did you say, ‘In my opinion such a man will be saved,’ unless there are some who say that such men will not be saved?” “There are, Trypho,” I answered, “who do not even dare to share conversation or a hearth with such men; with whom I do not agree. But if these men, because of weakness of mind, wish to keep as much as they now can of the ordinances of Moses, which we understand were ordained because of the hardness of heart of the people, while hoping in this Christ and keeping the eternal and natural acts of righteousness and piety, and choose to live with the Christians and the faithful, as I said before, not persuading them either to be circumcised like themselves, or to keep the Sabbath, or to observe other such things, then I declare that we ought to receive them and share all things with them, as kinsmen and brothers.
