ὃν “ὁ προφήτης συνόντα πολλοῖς ἔτεσιν ἀγνοεῖ, “ἐλέγχοντες ἡμεῖς διʼ αὐτοῦ καὶ τὴν ὑπόστασιν ἐξελέγχομεν τοῦ προφήτου. τὸ ὅμοιον ἐπὶ πολλῶν δυ- “νάμεθα ἀποδεῖξαι, καὶ εἰ θαρροῦσιν, ὑπομεινάτω- “σαν τὸν ἔλεγχον.”

When the prophet does not recognize this man, though he has been with him many years, by exposing him we also expose the nature of the prophet. We can show the same in the case of many, and if they are bold, let them submit to the test.”
