Καὶ εἰπὼν ταῦτα ἐπήνεγκα· Ὅλον οὖν τὸν ψαλμὸν οὕτως ἀποδείξω ὑμῖν εἰς τὸν Χριστὸν εἰρημένον, διʼ ὧν πάλιν αὐτὸν ἐξηγοῦμαι. Ὃ οὖν εὐθὺς λέγει· Ὁ θεός, ὁ θεός μου, πρόσχες μοι· ἵνα τί ἐγκατέλιπές με; τοῦτο ἄνωθεν προεῖπεν ὅπερ ὑπὸ Χριστοῦ ἔμελλε λέγεσθαι. Σταυρωθεὶς γὰρ εἶπεν· Ὁ θεός, ὁ θεός, ἵνα τί ἐγκατέλιπές με;

English · Claude translation

And having said this I added: “I will now show you that the whole psalm was spoken of Christ, by explaining it again. What he says at once, ‘O God, my God, attend to me; why have you forsaken me?’, foretold from of old what was to be said by Christ. For when he was crucified he said, ‘O God, O God, why have you forsaken me?’
