Shepherd of Hermas, Vision 3.6.5 (14.5)
Summary: Round stones are the rich, who deny the Lord in persecution to keep their wealth.
English · Claude translation
“And the white and round ones that do not fit into the building, who are they, lady?” She answered me, “How long will you be foolish and without understanding, asking about everything and understanding nothing? These are those who have faith, but also have the wealth of this world; when tribulation comes, because of their wealth and their business affairs they deny their Lord.”
