ἡ ζωὴ πάντων ἐστὶ τῶν τὰς ἐντολὰς τοῦ κυρίου φυλασσόντων· ἐν ταῖς ἐντολαῖς δὲ περὶ πρωτείων ἢ περὶ δόξης τινός οὐκ ἔστιν, ἀλλὰ περὶ μακροθυμίας καὶ περὶ ταπεινοφρονήσεως ἀνδρός. ἐν τοῖς τοιούτοις οὖν ἡ ζωὴ τοῦ κυρίου, ἐν τοῖς διχοστάταις δὲ καὶ παρανόμοις θάνατος.

Life belongs to all who keep the Lord's commandments; and in the commandments there is nothing about first places or about any glory, but about patience and a person's humility. In such people, then, is the life of the Lord, but in those who cause divisions and break the law, death.
