Οἵ γε μὴν ἐπὶ Παλαιστίνης, οὓς ἀρτίως διεληλύθαμεν, ὅ τε Νάρκισσος καὶ Θεόφιλος, καὶ σὺν αὐτοῖς Κάσσιος τῆς κατὰ Τύρον ἐκκλησίας ἐπίσκοπος, καὶ Κλάρος τῆς ἐν Πτολεμαΐδι, οἵ τε μετὰ τούτων συνεληλυθότες περὶ τῆς κατελθούσης εἰς αὐτοὺς ἐκ διαδοχῆς τῶν ἀποστόλων περὶ τοῦ πάσχα παραδόσεως πλεῖστα διειληφότες, κατὰ τὸ τέλος τῆς γραφὴς αὐτοῖς ῥήμασιν ἐπιλέγουσι ταῦτα “τῆς δʼ ἐπιστολῆς ἡμῶν πειράθητε κατὰ πᾶσαν “ἐκκλησίαν ἀντίγραφα διαπέμψασθαι, ὅπως μὴ ἔνοχοι “ὦμεν τοῖς ῥᾳδίως πλανῶσιν ἑαυτῶν τὰς ψυχάς. δη- “λοῦμεν δὲ ὑμῖν ὅτι τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ καὶ ἐν Ἀλεξαν- “δρείᾳ ἄγουσιν, ᾗπερ καὶ ἡμεῖς. παρʼ ἡμῶν γὰρ τὰ “γράμματα κομίζεται αὐτοῖς καὶ ἡμῖν παρʼ αὐτῶν, “ὥστε συμφώνως καὶ ὁμοῦ ἄγειν ἡμᾶς τὴν ἁγίαν “ἡμέραν.”

Those in Palestine whom we have just mentioned, Narcissus and Theophilus, and with them Cassius, bishop of the church of Tyre, and Clarus of that in Ptolemais, and those who assembled with them, having discussed at length the tradition about the Pascha that had come down to them by succession from the apostles, at the end of their letter add these very words: “Try to send copies of our letter to every church, so that we may not be liable for those who easily lead their own souls astray. We make known to you that in Alexandria too they keep the same day as we do. For letters are carried from us to them and from them to us, so that we keep the holy day in harmony and together.”
