“ὅπως δὲ καὶ τοῦτο ἴδητε, ὅτι τῆς ψευδοῦς ταύ- “τῆς τάξεως τῆς ἐπικαλουμένης νέας προφητείας “ἐβδέλυκται ἡ ἐνέργεια παρὰ πάσῃ τῇ ἐν κόσμῳ ἀδελφότητι, πέπομφα ὑμῖν καὶ Κλαυδίου Ἀπολινα- ‘ρίου τοῦ μακαριωτάτου γενομένου ἐν Ἱεραπόλει τῆς ‘Ἀσίας ἐπισκόπου γράμματα.’’

“So that you may see this too, that the working of this lying organization, called the New Prophecy, is abhorred by the whole brotherhood in the world, I have sent you also the writings of Claudius Apolinarius, who became most blessed bishop in Hierapolis in Asia.”
