τῶν γὰρ “κατὰ τὴν Ἀσίαν πιστῶν πολλάκις καὶ πολλαχῆ τῆς “Ἀσίας εἰς τοῦτο συνελθόντων, καὶ τοὺς προσφάτους “λόγους ἐξετασάντων καὶ βεβήλους ἀποφηνάντων καὶ “ἀποδοκιμασάντων τὴν αἵρεσιν, οὕτω δὴ τῆς τε ἐκ- “κλησίας ἐξεώσθησαν καὶ τῆς κοινωνίας εἴρχθη- “σαν.”

For when the faithful in Asia had met often and in many places of Asia for this purpose, and examined the recent sayings and declared them profane and rejected the heresy, then they were expelled from the church and shut out from communion.”
