Δωδεκάτῳ δὲ ἔτει τῆς ἡγεμονίας τῆς Ῥωμαίων ἐκκλησίας Ἀνέγκλητον ἔτεσιν ἐπισκοπεύσαντα δεκαδύο διαδέχεται Κλήμης. ὃν συνεργὸν ἑαυτοῦ γενέσθαι Φιλιππησίοις ἐπιστέλλων ὁ ἀπόστολος δι- δάσκει λέγων “μετὰ καὶ Κλήμεντος καὶ τῶν λοιπῶν “συνεργῶν μου, ὧν τὰ ὀνόματα ἐν βίβλῳ ζωῆς.''

In the twelfth year of the same reign, Anencletus, having been bishop of the church of the Romans for twelve years, was succeeded by Clement, whom the apostle, writing to the Philippians, shows to have been his fellow worker, saying, “with Clement also and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.”
