Γέγονε γὰρ καὶ νῦν, ὡς ἀληθῶς ἐστὶν ἡ δόξα τοῦ οἴκου τούτου ἡ ἐσχάτη ὑπὲρ τὴν προτέραν. ἔδει γὰρ καὶ ἀκόλουθον ἦν, τοῦ ποιμένος αὐτῆς καὶ δεσπότου ἅπαξ τὸν ὑπὲρ αὐτῆς θάνατον καταδεξαμένου, καὶ μετὰ τὸ πάθος ὃ χάριν αὐτῆς ῥυποῦν ἐνεδύσατο σῶμα, ἐπὶ τὸ λαμπρὸν καὶ ἔνδοξον μεταβεβληκότος, αὐτήν τε σάρκα τὴν λυθεῖσαν ἐκ φθορᾶς εἰς ἀφθαρσίαν ἀγαγόντος, καὶ τήνδε ὁμοίως τῶν τοῦ σωτῆρος οἰκονομιῶν ἐπαύρασθαι· ὅτι δὴ καὶ τούτων πολὺ κρείττονα λαβοῦσα παρʼ αὐτοῦ τὴν ἐπαγγελίαν, τὴν πολὺ μείζονα δόξαν τῆς παλιγγενεσίας ἐν ἀφθάρτου σώματος ἀναστάσει μετὰ φωτὸς ἀγγέλων χορείας ἐν τοῖς οὐρανῶν ἐπέκεινα τοῦ θεοῦ βασιλείοις σὺν αὐτῷ Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ τῷ πανευεργέτῃ καὶ σωτῆρι διαρκῶς ἐπὶ τοὺς ἐξῆς αἰῶνας ἀπολαβεῖν ποθεῖ.

For now truly the latter glory of this house has become greater than the former. For it was fitting and consistent that, since her Shepherd and Lord had once for all accepted death on her behalf, and after his passion had changed the soiled body he put on for her sake into a bright and glorious one, and had brought the very flesh that had been dissolved from corruption to incorruption, she too should likewise enjoy the saving dispensations of the Savior. For having received from him the promise of things far better than these, she longs to receive the far greater glory of regeneration in the resurrection of an incorruptible body, with the choir of angels of light, in the kingdom of God beyond the heavens, with Christ Jesus himself, the benefactor of all and Savior, continually for the ages to come.
