εἰκότως δʼ ἐν ἀριθμῷ τελείῳ τὸν τέλειον ἐνταῦθα καὶ πανηγυρικὸν τῆς τῶν ἐκκλησιῶν ἀνανεώσεως λόγον κατατάξομεν, θείῳ πνεύματι πειθαρχοῦντες, ὧδέ πως ἐγκελευομένῳ “ᾄσατε τῷ κυρίῳ ᾆσμα καινὸν, ὅτι θαυμαστὰ ἐποίησεν. ἔσωσεν αὐτὸν ἡ δεξιὰ αὐτοῦ καὶ ὁ βραχίων ὁ ἅγιος αὐτοῦ· ἐγνώρισε κύριος τὸ σωτήριον αὐτοῦ, ἐναντίον τῶν ἐθνῶν ἀπεκάλυψε τὴν δικαιοσύνην αὐτοῦ·’’

Fittingly, in a perfect number we shall place here the perfect and festive account of the renewal of the churches, obeying the divine Spirit, who exhorts us thus: “Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things. His right hand and his holy arm have saved him; the Lord has made known his salvation, before the nations he has revealed his righteousness.”
