τῆς δʼ εἰς αὐτὸν γενομένης ἀσωμάτου καὶ ἐνθέου χρίσεως μέγα καὶ ἐναρλὲς τεκμήριον τὸ μόνον αὐτὸν ἐξ ἁπάντων τῶν πώποτε εἰσέτι καὶ νῦν παρὰ πᾶσιν ἀνθρώποις καθʼ ὅλου τοῦ κόσμου Χριστὸν ἐπιφημίζεσθαι, ὁμολογεῖσθαί τε καὶ μαρτυρεῖσθαι πρὸς ἀπάντων ἐπὶ τῇ προσηγορίᾳ, παρά τε Ἓλλησι καὶ βαρβάροις μνημονεύεσθαι, καὶ εἰσέτι καὶ νῦν παρὰ τοῖς ἀνὰ τὴν οἰκουμένην αὐτοῦ θιασώταις τιμᾶσθαι μὲν ὡς βασιλέα, θαυμάζεσθαι δὲ ὑπὲρ προφήτην, δοξάζεσθαί τε ὡσὰν ἀληθῆ καὶ μόνον θεοῦ ἀρχιερέα, καὶ ἐπὶ πάσι τούτοις οἷα θεοῦ λόγον προόντα καὶ πρὸ αἰώνων ἀπάντων οὐσιωμένον, τὴν σεβάσμιον τιμὴν παρὰ τοῦ πατρὸς ὑπειληφότα, καὶ προσκυνεῖσθαι ὡσὰν θεόν.

A great and clear proof of the bodiless and divine anointing that came upon him is that he alone of all who have ever lived is still, even now, called Christ among all men throughout the whole world, is confessed and witnessed to by all under this name, is remembered among Greeks and barbarians, and even now is honoured by his followers throughout the inhabited world as king, marvelled at as more than a prophet, glorified as the true and only high priest of God, and above all these, as the pre-existent Word of God, given being before all ages, who has received worshipful honour from the Father, is worshipped as God.
