καὶ ὅτι γέ ἐστιν οὐσία τις προκόσμιος ζῶσα καὶ ὑφεστῶσα, ἡ τῷ πατρὶ καὶ θεῷ τῶν ὅλων εἰς τὴν τῶν γενητῶν ἁπάντων δημιουργίαν ὑπηρετησαμένη, λόγος θεοῦ καὶ σοφία χρηματίζουσα, πρὸς ταῖς τεθειμέναις ἀποδείξεσιν ἔτι καἲ αὐτῆς ἐξ ἰδίου προσώπου τῆς σοφίας ἐπακοῦσαι πάρεστι, διὰ Σολομῶνος λευκότατα ὧδέ πως τὰ περὶ ἑαυτῆς μυσταγωγούσης ‘ἐγὼ ἡ σοφία κατεσκήνωσα βουλὴν καὶ γνῶσιν, καὶ ἔννοιαν ἐγὼ ἐπεκαλεσάμην· διʼ ἐμοῦ βασιλεῖς βασιλεύουσι, καὶ οἱ δυνάσται γράφουσι δικαιοσύνην· διʼ ἐμοῦ μεγιστᾶνες μεγαλύνονται, καὶ τύραννοι διʼ ἐμοῦ κρατοῦσι γῆς. ”

English · Claude translation

And that there is a certain being before the world, living and subsisting, which served the Father and God of the universe in the making of all created things, called the Word of God and Wisdom, we may learn, besides the proofs already given, from Wisdom herself speaking in her own person, as through Solomon she very clearly reveals the mysteries concerning herself in this way: “I, Wisdom, have made counsel my dwelling, and knowledge and understanding I have called upon. By me kings reign, and princes decree righteousness. By me great men are magnified, and by me rulers hold the earth.”
