ἐνιαυτοῦ δὲ διαγενομένου καὶ “τόνδε παύσας Σίμωνι τῷ Καμίθου τὴν ἀρχιερω- “ συνῆν παραδίδωσιν. οὐ πλέον δὲ καὶ τῷδε ἐνιαυτοῦ “ τὴν τιμὴν ἔχοντι διεγένετο χρόνος, καὶ Ἰώσηπος, ὁ “καὶ Καϊάφας, διάδοχος ἦν αὐτῷ.’

English · Claude translation

When a year had passed, he removed him too and hands the high priesthood to Simon the son of Camithus. And he too had held the honour no longer than a year, when Joseph, also called Caiaphas, was his successor.”
