καὶ διὰ τοῦτο οὕτως γενόμενα ἡμῖν μέν ἐστιν φανερά, ἐκείνοις δὲ σκοτεινά, ὅτι οὐκ ἤκουσαν φωνῆς κυρίου.

And for this reason these things, happening in this way, are plain to us but obscure to them, because they did not hear the voice of the Lord.
