ὧν εἷς καὶ οὗτος γεγόνει ὁ θαυμασιώτατος μάρτυς Πολύκαρπος, ἐν τοῖς καθʼ ἡμᾶς χρόνοις διδάσκαλος ἀποστολικὸς καὶ προφητικὸς γενόμενος, ἐπίσκοπος τῆς ἐν Σμύρνῃ καθολικῆς ἐκκλησίας. πᾶν γὰρ ῥῆμα, ὃ ἀφῆκεν ἐκ τοῦ στόματος αὐτοῦ. καὶ ἐτελειώθη καὶ τελειωθήσεται.

Among these elect was this man, the most wonderful martyr Polycarp, who in our own times was an apostolic and prophetic teacher, bishop of the catholic church in Smyrna. For every word that he uttered from his mouth was fulfilled and will be fulfilled.

- The digital text has a full stop after “his mouth” (αὐτοῦ); the sentence evidently continues, and the translation follows the sense.
