διὰ τοῦτο καὶ περὶ πάντων σὲ αἰνῶ, σὲ εὐλογῶ, σὲ δοξάζω διὰ τοῦ αἰωνίου καὶ ἐπουρανίου ἀρχιερέως Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ, ἀγαπητοῦ σου παιδός, διʼ οὗ σοὶ σὺν αὐτῷ καὶ πνεύματι ἁγίῳ δόξα καὶ νῦν καὶ εἰς τοὺς μέλλοντας αἰῶνας. ἀμήν.

For this reason, and for all things, I praise you, I bless you, I glorify you, through the eternal and heavenly High Priest Jesus Christ, your beloved Servant, through whom be glory to you, with him and the Holy Spirit, both now and for the ages to come. Amen.”

## Translation notes

- The closing words give glory to God “with him [Christ] and the Holy Spirit.” Eusebius's quotation of this passage (Hist. eccl. 4.15.35) reads “in the Holy Spirit,” and some scholars think the wording was adjusted in later use.
- “High Priest” (ἀρχιερέως) is in Lake's text; some manuscripts and older translations lack it.
