Οὐκ ὀρθῶς μέντοι οὐδὲ φιλαλήθως ποιεῖς, κἀκεῖνα περὶ ὧν ἀεὶ συγκαταθέσεις ἡμῖν γεγένηνται, ὅτι διὰ τὸ σκληροκάρδιον τοῦ λαοῦ ὑμῶν διὰ Μωσέως τινὲς τῶν ἐντολῶν τεθειμέναι εἰσίν, ἀναλύειν πειρώμενος. Ἔφης γὰρ διὰ τὸ ἐννόμως πολιτεύεσθαι ἐκλελέχθαι αὐτὸν καὶ Χριστὸν γεγενῆσθαι, εἰ ἄρα οὗτος ἀποδειχθείη ὤν.

English · Claude translation

“But you do not act rightly or lovingly toward the truth in trying to undo the points on which we have always agreed, that some of the commandments were laid down through Moses because of the hardness of heart of your people. For you said that he was chosen and became Christ because he lived according to the law, if indeed he is proved to be he.
