Shepherd of Hermas, Mandate 5.2.4 (34.4)
Summary: Anger grows by steps into an incurable sin.
English · Claude translation
But bad temper is first foolish, frivolous, and senseless. Then from folly comes bitterness, from bitterness wrath, from wrath anger, and from anger rancor; then this rancor, made up of so many evils, becomes a great and incurable sin.
