πλὴν οὐδὲ νῦν λαθεῖν ἡμᾶς “ἐδυνήθη, ὅτι τινὲς τῶν δικαστῶν παρενεθυμοῦντο “τὰς ἡμετέρας κελεύσεις, καὶ διστάζειν τοὺς ἡμετέ- “ρους ἀνθρώπους περὶ τὰ προστάγματα τὰ ἡμέτερα “παρεσκεύασαν, καὶ ὀκνηρότερον προσιέναι ταύταις “ταῖς θρησκείαις, αἷς ἦν ἀρεστὸν αὐτοῖς, ἐποίησαν. “

Yet even now it could not escape us that some of the judges misunderstood our commands and caused our people to hesitate about our ordinances and made them more reluctant to approach those forms of worship that pleased them.
