οὐ ὢ μὲν οὖν ἐσπουδάσθη πλεῖστα τῷ Ἀνατολίῳ συγγράμματα, τοσαῦτα δʼ εἰς ἡμᾶς ἐλήλυθε, διʼ ὧν αὐτοῦ καταμαθεῖν δυνατὸν ὁμοῦ τό τε λόγιον καὶ πολυμαθὲς, ἐν οἷς μάλιστα τὰ περὶ τοῦ πάσχα δόξαντα παρίστησιν, ἀφʼ ὧν ἀναγκαῖον ἂν εἴη τούτων ἐπὶ τοῦ παρόντος μνημονεῦσαι.
