καὶ ὑποκαταβάς φησιν ‘ἐν δὲ τῇ πόλει καταδεδύκασιν ἀφανῶς ἐπισκεπτό- ‟μένοι τοὺς ἀδελφούς — πρεσβύτεροι μὲν Μάξιμος, ῾Διοσκόρος, Δημήτριος, Λούκιος· οἱ γὰρ ἐν τῷ κόσμῳ ‟προφανέστεροι Φαυστῖνος καὶ Ἀκύλας ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ πλανῶνται· διάκονοι δὲ οἶ μετὰ τοὺς ἐν τῇ νόσῳ τελευτήσαντας ὑπολειφθέντες Φαῦστος, Εὐσέβιος, ῾Χαιρήμων· Εὐσέβιος, ὃν ἐξ ἀρχῆς ὁ θεὸς καὶ παρεσκεύασε, τὰς ὑπηρεσίας τῶν ἐν ταῖς φυλακαῖς γενομένων ὁμολογητῶν ἐναγωνίως ἀπο- ‟πληροῦν, καὶ τὰς τῶν σωμάτων περιστολὰς τῶν ‟τελείων καὶ μακαρίων μαρτύρων οὐκ ἀκινδύνως ἐκτελεῖν.

And further on he says: “In the city there have concealed themselves, secretly visiting the brothers, the presbyters Maximus, Dioscorus, Demetrius, and Lucius; for Faustinus and Aquila, who are more prominent in the world, are wandering in Egypt. Of the deacons, those left after the ones who died in the plague are Faustus, Eusebius, and Chaeremon. Eusebius is he whom God from the beginning strengthened and prepared to fulfil zealously the services for the confessors in the prisons, and to perform, not without danger, the laying out of the bodies of the perfected and blessed martyrs.
