Ἐν τούτῳ καὶ Ἀφρικανος ὁ τῶν ἐπιγεγραμμένων Κεστῶν συγγραφεὺς ἐγνωρίζετο. ἐπιστολὴ τούτου Ὠριγένει γραφεῖσα φέρεται, ἀποροῦντος ὡσὰν νόθου καὶ πεπλασμένης οὔσης τῆς ἐν τῷ Δανιὴλ κατὰ Σουσάνναν ἱστορίας· πρὸς ἣν Ὠριγένης ἀντιγράφει πληρέστατα.

At this time Africanus too, the author of the work entitled Cesti, was known. A letter of his written to Origen is extant, in which he questions the story of Susanna in Daniel as spurious and fabricated; Origen answers it very fully.
