ἐπιστάντα δὲ ἤδη πολλάκις καθεύδοντι τῷ παιδὶ γυμνῶσαι μὲν αὐτοῦ τὰ στέρνα φασὶν, ὥσπερ δὲ θεῖο πνεύματος ἔνδον ἐν αὐτοῖς ἀφιερωμένου, φιλῆσαί τʼ σεβασμίως καὶ τῆς εὐτεκνίας μακάριον ἑαυτὸν ἡγήσασθαι. ταῦτα καὶ ἕτερα τούτοις συγγενῆ περὶ παῖδʼ ὄντα τὸν Ὠριγένην γενέσθαι μνημονεύουσιν.

They say that he often stood over the boy as he slept and uncovered his breast, as if the divine Spirit were enshrined within it, and kissed it reverently, and counted himself blessed in his offspring. These and other things like them are remembered to have happened when Origen was a boy.
