καὶ ὑποκαταβὰς περὶ τοῦ αὐτοῦ φάσκει “ἡμεῖς οὖν οὐκ ‘ἀποκινδυνεύομεν περὶ τοῦ ὀνόματος τοῦ ἀντιχρίστου ἀποφαινόμενοι βεβαιωτικῶς. εἰ γὰρ ἔδει ἀναφανδὸν τῷ νῦν καιρῷ κηρύττεσθαι τοὔνομα αὐτοῦ, διʼ ἐκείνου ἂν ἐρρέθη τοῦ καὶ τὴν ἀποκάλυψιν ἑωρακότος· οὐδὲ γὰρ πρὸ πολλοῦ χρόνου ἐωράθη, ἀλλὰ σχεδὸν ἐπὶ τῆς ἡμετέρας γενεάς, πρὸς τῷ τέλει τῆς Δομετιανοῦ ἀρχῆς.”

And further on he says about the same thing: “We, therefore, do not run the risk of declaring positively about the name of the Antichrist. For if it had been necessary for his name to be proclaimed openly at the present time, it would have been spoken by him who also saw the revelation.
