“Θεμελιώσαντες οὖν καὶ οἰκοδομήσαντες οἶ μακάριοι ἀπόστολοι τὴν ἐκκλησίαν Λίνῳ τὴν τῆς ἐπισκοπῆς λειτουργίαν ἐνεχείρισαν. τούτου τοῦ Λίνου Παῦλος ἐν ταῖς πρὸς Τιμόθεον ἐπιστολαῖς μέμνηται, διαδέχεται δὲ αὐτὸν Ανέγκλητος.
