τῆς μὲν οὖν περὶ τούτων ἐντελεστάτης ὑφηγήσεως τὸ πᾶν σύγγραμμα τῇ τῶν μαρτύρων ἡμῖν κατατέτακται συναγωγῇ, οὐχ ἱστορικὴν αὐτὸ μόνον, ἀλλὰ καὶ διδασκαλικὴν περιέχον διήγησιν. ὁπόσα γέ τοι τῆς παρούσης ἔχοιτο πραγματείας, ταῦτʼ ἐπὶ τοῦ παρόντος ἀναλεξάμενος παραθήσομαι.
