τότε δὴ οὖν καὶ τὸν ἀπόστολον Ἰωάννην ἀπὸ τῆς κατὰ τὴν νῆσον φυγῆς τὴν ἐπὶ τῆς Ἐφέσου διατριβὴν ἀπειληφέναι ὁ τῶν παρʼ ἡμῖν ἀρχαίων παραδίδωσι λόγος.

Then indeed, the tradition of our ancients relates, the apostle John too, after his banishment on the island, resumed his residence at Ephesus.
