Καί τις ἐν μέσῳ παρελθὼν τῶν μετρίως ἐπιεικῶν, λόγου σύνταξιν πεποιημένος, ὡς ἐν ἐκκλησίας ἀθροίσματι πλείστων ἐπιπαρόντων ποιμένων, ἐν ἡσυχίᾳ καὶ κόσμῳ τὴν ἀκρόασιν παρεχομένων, ἑνὸς εἰς πρόσωπον τὰ πάντα ἀρίστου καὶ θεοφιλοῦς ἐπισκόπου, οὗ διὰ σπουδῆς ὁ μάλιστα τῶν ἀμφὶ τὸ Φοινίκων ἔθνος διαπρέπων ἐν Τυρῷ νεὼς φιλοτίμως ἐπεσκεύαστο, τοιόνδε παρέσχε λόγον. Πανηγυρικὸς ἐπὶ τῇ τῶν ἐκκλησιῶν οἰκοδομῇ, Παυλίνῳ Τυρίων ἐπισκόπῳ προσπεφωνημένος.

And one of those of moderate ability came forward in the midst, having composed a speech, in the presence of very many pastors gathered as in an assembly of the church, who gave their attention in quiet and order, and addressed it to one bishop, excellent in all things and dear to God, through whose zeal the temple at Tyre, by far the most distinguished in Phoenicia, had been generously built; and he delivered the following speech.
