- authentic · Cyprian's correspondence as collected in Hartel's edition (81 letters). Not all are by Cyprian: some are letters he received and kept, e.g. from the Roman clergy (8, 30, 36), from Cornelius of Rome (49, 50), from confessors (21–23, 31, 53, 77–79), and from Firmilian of Caesarea (75).
