The Apocalypse of Peter

Chapter 1

1Harnack 1893, 16–20

And they will become sons of destruction.

Chapter 3

3Harnack 1893, 16–20

And then God will come to my faithful ones who hunger and thirst and are afflicted and prove their souls in this life, and he will judge the sons of lawlessness.'

kai prosϑeis kyrios ephē" agōmen eis to oros, euxōmeϑa.

And the Lord added and said: 'Let us go to the mountain; let us pray.'

Chapter 5

5Harnack 1893, 16–20

And as we, the twelve disciples, went with him, we asked him to show us one of our righteous brothers who had gone out of the world, so that we might see what they are like in form, and take courage, and give courage also to the people who hear us.

Chapter 6

6Harnack 1893, 16–20

For their hair was curly and bright, and became both their face and their shoulders, like a garland woven of spikenard and many-coloured flowers, or like a rainbow in the air; such was their comeliness.
