Τί δὲ εἴπωμεν ἐπὶ τῷ μεμαρτυρημένῳ Δαυείδ; ἐφʼ οὗ εἶπεν ὁ θεός· Εὗρον ἄνδρα κατὰ τὴν καρδίαν μου, Δαυεὶδ τὸν τοῦ Ἰεσσαί, ἐν ἐλέει αἰωνίῳ ἔχρισα αὐτόν.

And what shall we say of the well-attested David? Of him God said, “I have found a man after my heart, David the son of Jesse; I have anointed him with eternal mercy.”
