Ἡ ἐκκλησία τοῦ θεοῦ ἡ παροικοῦσα Ῥώμην τῇ ἐκκλησίᾳ τοῦ θεοῦ τῇ παροικούσῃ Κόρινθον, κλητοῖς ἡγιασμένοις ἐν θελήματι θεοῦ διὰ τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ. χάρις ὑμῖν καὶ εἰρήνη ἀπὸ παντοκράτορος θεοῦ διὰ Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ πληθυνθείη.

## English translation (Claude)

The church of God that sojourns at Rome, to the church of God that sojourns at Corinth, to those who are called and sanctified by the will of God through our Lord Jesus Christ: grace to you and peace from almighty God through Jesus Christ be multiplied.

- The letter names no author. From Dionysius of Corinth (ca. 170) on, tradition attributes it to Clement, a leader of the Roman church.
